Syllabus and Assessment
This course will prepare you for the Cambridge (CIE) Business Studies syllabus 9707. We have chosen this syllabus as it is the one best suited to distance learners
Assessment is by two written papers of 1 hour and 15 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes at AS level, and by one written paper of 3 hours at A2 level

- Understand and appreciate the nature and scope of business, and the role of business in society;
- Develop a critical understanding of organisations, the markets they serve and the process of adding value;
This should involve consideration of the internal workings and management of organisations and, in
particular, the process of decision-making in a dynamic external environment; - Be aware that business behaviour can be studied from the perspective of a range of stakeholders
including customer, manager, creditor, owner/shareholder and employee; - Be aware of the economic, environmental, ethical, governmental, legal, social and technological issues
